Finished Chapter Eight of Shattered Mirror this evening and sent it off to April for her critique. Hopefully, she'll have time to read through it before our regular Skype session, but if not, we'll work on it on line tomorrow. I only needed 563 words to finish the chapter. I had planned on working on the sixth chapter of Shattered Mirror tonight. I actually did get some work done on it, (about 427 words), when it was time for our writer's group to meet. Along with another "exciting" day at work, we did get some progress on several fronts.

I took the first day of sick leave I've used since May today. My cold isn't getting any worse, but it's not getting better either. I was so draggy when I worked my way out of bed that wishweaver took one look at me and told me to go back to bed. Was very busy this weekend and got a number of things accomplished. Not necessarily very consequential things, but things anyway.

Heard back from two of my three beta's tonight. Got their comments, critiques and general thoughts and am much heartened by the input. Lots of very good suggested changes (probably accepted about 70% of them) and I think the first chapter is much stronger than it was a couple of nights ago ( Read more... )
